Keep Fit & Pink Day, Walk for Cancer
April 26, 2010 – 2:31 pm by adminIt’s almost that time of the year again when The Genesis Appeal host their very own walk for cancer as part of their ‘Keep Fit & Pink Day’. The idea behind this breast cancer fundraising event came to fruition due to the links between high fat, high calorie diets and breast cancer prevalent in Western diets.
There is valid evidence that indicates that physical activity can help to reduce the risk of breast cancer. The first fundraising event took place in 2007 and has been a recurring annual event ever since. Our Keep Fit & Pink Day consists of a 10km walk, fitness challenges and live music.
The whole family can take part in the walk for cancer so come and show your support on Sunday, 6th June 2010 for breast cancer prevention.
