Jennifer Saunders’ Secret Breast Cancer Battle

It emerged last night that another one of our much loved stars has been battling breast cancer. Jennifer Saunders revealed that after finding a lump in her breast, she had the tumour removed then underwent a course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment. After being given the all clear she was seen celebrating at Wimbledon.

Statistics show that 1 in 10 women will contract breast cancer at some point in their lives. It is no surprise that so many famous ladies such as, Kylie Minogue, Sally Whitaker (now Sally Dynevor), Sheryl Crow, Cynthia Nixon etc, are appearing in the news with their own battles.

It reiterates the importance of breast cancer awareness. The Genesis Appeal is the only UK charity dedicated to research into the prevention of breast cancer to make 1 in 10 none in 10.
