The Genesis Appeal is delighted to introduce The Art of Genesis, a unique art exhibition by Argentinean artist, Rosana Ibarrola.

The project features sketches and paintings of fifteen inspiring women, who have all been affected by breast cancer.

Rosana perfectly reflects the personality and story of each of her subjects, capturing their souls, strength and their serene femininity.

She tells that, “Ultimately, the work is celebrating the women’s triumph over breast cancer and encouraging them to accept their newly formed bodies.
It was an honour for me to be involved in this project as all the women who modelled were truly inspirational.
I feel like I have made some new and very brave friends and it has been by far the most educational and enlightening venture I’ve worked on.”

Launched at the Nightingale Centre and Genesis Prevention Centre on 1st October 2009, the event was attended by Genesis supporters, patrons and trustees as well as artist, Rosana Ibarrola and her models.
The exhibition was also the star attraction at the annual Genesis Ladies’ Lunch, which took place at The Lowry Hotel.

The Art of Genesis has been exhibited and put on sale at different venues across the North-West and London,
50 per cent of the proceeds from all the sales will go towards The Genesis Appeal.

This is a celebration of triumph over adversity and a chance for the inspirational women involved to share their stories. This unique exhibition has already attracted the cast of Coronation Street.
